The IPSDI is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization formed by a collaboration of fire service, research, policy, and academic organizations. The IPSDI mission is to enhance public safety resource deployment and operations by using data analytics to provide actionable life-saving insights. FireCARES is a system designed to assist community leaders to better understand how safe they are based upon a risk score, a performance score and safe grade that compares the fire department to industry operations standards National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards.
Fire chiefs often interact with public officials (decision makers) who must work to balance community expectations and finite budget resources without a solid technical foundation for evaluating community risks and impact of staffing and deployment decisions on the safety of the public and firefighters. Hasty decisions by leaders can leave a community without sufficient resources to respond to emergency calls safely, efficiently, and effectively which can leave individuals, fire departments and communities vulnerable to unacceptable consequences.
The Fire-Community Assessment/Response Evaluation System (FireCARES) uses big data analytics to provide a basic understanding of how changes in the levels of emergency resources deployed affect outcomes from emergencies.
The National Fire Operations Reporting System (NFORS) uses technology to capture data from computer aided dispatch (CAD) systems or records management systems (RMS) and analyze that data to provide operational insights for chief officers and the rank and file.
At the policy making level, NFORS is a fire service analytical system and the most comprehensive way to get accurate and real-time information to help fire service leaders assure adequate fire resources; optimize fire operations; reduce firefighter injury and death; minimize civilian injury and death; and minimize property loss.
Raptor is trusted to protect over 32,000 K-12 schools across our nation and Raptor continues to develop innovative, integrated school safety technologies. Their mission is to protect every child, every school, every day. Throughout his career, he has had the opportunity to work in patrol, investigations, narcotics, professional standards and other areas. In addition, he is a fixed-wing commercial airplane pilot with an instrument rating and he is also an FAA certified advanced ground instructor. He also holds an FAA remote pilot certificate. Our COO earned his Master’s Degree in Administrative Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University and he was one of the founders of Shore Aerial Photography, a company based out of NJ. After four years of owning and operating a predominately drone based aerial photography company, he sold the company in late 2017 in order to focus his efforts on Advanced Drone Consulting.

She holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Georgian Court University and a Masters Degree in Administrative Science from Fairleigh Dickinson University, as well as a Certificate in Human Resource Management from Duke University.
