A Message from the President

Our company continues to grow and since our last newsletter, we launched our new company website that includes a comprehensive Resource Center where valuable information can be obtained related to best practices in facility protective measures. Our goal is to make the CRG Resource Center an information sharing environment for for safety professionals and a place to conduct research and identify funding opportunities across the country. Additionally, we are excited with key hires CRG has made that will have an immediate impact on our business operations. We are exceptionally pleased to announce that Major (USMC, Ret.) Joseph Hanson is our new Regional Director of Sales and Implementation and Captain (Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office, Ret.) Scott Heath is our new Sales and Implementation Manager of Capita Products.

Welcome aboard!

CRG’s new Regional Director of Sales and Implementation Joe Hanson will be based out of Wisconsin. Joe is Marine Special Operations Officer and a MARSOC Raider who has used Collaborative Response Graphics to command and control special operations around the world. CRG is excited to expand in Wisconsin and across the Midwest by leveraging Joe’s expertise.

Here Joe uses a Collaborative Response Graphic during an operation in Southeast Asia.

Where was CRG this Month?

Critical Response Group was proud to attend training at the Rancocas Valley Regional High School in Burlington County, New Jersey with the Mount Holly Police Department on August 26, 2019. Special recognition goes to the Mount Holly Police Department for practicing “what right looks like”. Poster-sized laminated CRGs and dry erase markers are a great tool for hasty command posts!

Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office uses CRG and GXP to coordinate a search this past month. CRGs, uploaded to GXP OnScene, are a great tool for coordinating field searches in heavily wooded areas.

Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office (HCPO) uses CRG and GXP to support security for the Hunterdon County 4-H Fair. The HCPO, the Hunterdon County Sheriff’s Office, Hunterdon County Park Rangers, and NJSP Troopers communicated from the same CRG to provide security for this great event. Make sure to visit next year!

I Want to do the Right Thing – but Where do I find the “Right Thing?

“Where do I find the right thing?” That is a question that clients have posed to us over and over again at CRG, and was one of the driving motivations behind the launch of the Critical Response Group Resource Center

With over 20 after-action reports and 100 links to websites, documents, and useful guidance information, the Resource Center provides one central repository for the scores of documents that people typically spend hours fruitlessly searching for on the Internet.

You are welcomed and encouraged to take advantage of this constantly updated and growing free resource as we continue to work together to help everyone achieve their goal of implementing best practices in their respective disciplines.

by Keith Germain, Executive Vice President of CRG and
Chief of Police of the Barnegat Police Department, Ocean County NJ
